STILLE NACHT AT BLASTCAMP TACTICAL RULES

UNITS
Units will be assembled at squad strength (8-12 troops) by the tactical coordinator.
One referee will be assigned to each unit. The referee will move tactically with the squad, and can fire his weapon, and be involved in combat. There will be some roaming refs as well. The referees have the final say in all matters.

BUILDINGS
Do not run up to, and into, building doorways.
Doorways cannot be blocked by any means.
There is no firing in the buildings whatsoever.
Smoke grenades cannot be thrown into buildings.
You may only enter buildings through doorways.
Defenders can only fire out windows and doorways. Weapon muzzles must be clearly out the openings.
Attackers cannot fire into windows and doorways.
When an attacker enters a building, the building is considered captured, and all defenders inside must vacate.
Bunkers will be treated as buildings.

COMMUNICATIONS
Only refere es are allowed to have walkie talkies.
Any participants using a walkie talkie or  "captured" maps will be escorted off the premises, period.

ASSUMPTIONS (good in the following cases)
Assume that if you run into a building you will get shot in the face.
Assume that if you are next to a building and turn a corner, you will get shot in the face.
Basically, assume that if you startle the enemy at close range……you will get shot in the face.

GRENADES
Both those with and without report, are allowed.
10ft unobstructed kill radius.

There is a place to purchase smoke grenades reasonably close to Blastcamp so you may want to stock up. I would advise against the $1 type, since they do not work very well.

TAKING HITS
If the enemy cannot see you, or your muzzle flash, there is a very good chance they will not take a hit.
Do not call hits, contact a referee, you should be very close to them.
When you are hit, you must retreat to the closest "aid" station that is in your sides control. They will be clearly marked.
You may only leave the "aid" station when 3 troops are present, or when resurrected by a referee.

OBJECTIVES
there will be several objectives to hold. The side holding the majority of objectives at the end of a set time will be the winner of that game.

VEHICLES
Due to the size of the location, no vehicles will be permitted.

WEAPONS etc…
Partisan weapons must be of European origin. NO US WEAPONS WILL BE ALLOWED.

AMENITIES (or lack there of) & misc.
There will be no blank vendors in attendance so order some now, and bring plenty to the event.
There will be a few port-a-potties for use on site.
There is no running water on site. Remember to fill your canteens prior to the event.
There will be a small break for consolidation of units and lunch and for self brought lunches, period lunch is highly suggested. There are no Mcdonalds’ close by ;-(

BASIC AUTHENTICITY REMINDERS

Get a shave and haircut prior to the event (unless portraying a partisan).
No Facial hair allowed for SS troops.
No tucking in, or pasting up your hair to portray a soldat…..sorry.

Rules and regs are subject to change.

1/6

Thanks to all that have signed up so far.I hope all is well in the new year so far. There are a ton of great events in WWII reenacting coming up this year to include to St. Joe beach landing and Thunder over MI. Thanks for choosing BFEP II to be the first., or one of your first events.

We have made some changes to the tactical, as far as the objectives, and regeneration of troops is concerned. This will make the tactical run quite a bit smoother. More information to follow on that shortly

Remember to spread the word about the event to your units. There are not many Ostfront event in the midwest, and with support we can keep it here for years to come.

1/25

Theres only a little over 4 weeks left until BFEP II. Will there be a snowpocalypse like last year? Only mother nature knows that. The event is a 709th private event open to all reenactors. No reenacting organization membership is required, but non HRS units/individuals must be sponsored by an HRS unit. Get your winter gear ready for a great Ostfront event.
